Kellie wears many hats at Community Carers NSW, serving as the Office Manager and Care Coordinator. Her responsibilities include implementing office policies and operations, overseeing support schedules, managing conflicts, training staff, and ensuring the seamless delivery of services. Kellie also plays a critical role in advocating for clients, developing individualised support plans, resolving crises, and building strong relationships with participants and their families. Her ability to balance administrative duties with hands-on care exemplifies her dedication to the community.

With six years in the disability sector—three as a Support Worker and three in the office—Kellie brings a wealth of expertise from her health and fitness background. Her skills include interpersonal communication, motivational coaching, adaptability, and physical health knowledge, all of which empower her to customise plans, set achievable goals, and foster independence. Her understanding of diverse populations and empathetic nature further enrich her contributions to the team.

Kellie’s journey into the disability field began with a simple yet profound experience: training participants through a friend in the industry. The fulfillment she felt in making a positive impact on their lives inspired her to dedicate her career to supporting vulnerable members of the community.

One of Kellie’s most impactful moments was helping to remove a participant from an abusive home environment, relocating them to a safe and secure space. Today, that participant considers the team of carers their family—a testament to the life-changing work Kellie and her team provide.

Kellie’s advice is simple yet powerful: "Leave any personal stuff at the door. Remain Present, as you may be the only person a participant interacts with that day. Make the most of that time, and ensure they have the most amazing day!”

Kellie grew up on a farm in New Zealand, which shaped her down-to-earth nature and passion for holistic living.

Life Outside of Work

In her free time, Kellie loves to stay active through exercise, hiking, and spending time at the beach. An avid animal lover, she adores her British Bulldog, Frankie, who often joins her at the office and delights participants with his friendly nature.
